Have you ever had that piece of steak that just required that all other activities must cease. Well, I have. While we, Amy and I, stayed at Nisbet Plantation, we ate dinner at the Great house every night and not once did we have a bad meal. From Asparagus wrapped in Pastrami, a simple salad to perhaps the best cooked piece of meat that I have ever had. Antonio F. Piani, II, is the executive chef and based on the food I had, understands several key items, presentation, mixture, offering and used the best ingredients.
The Great House is ran by a Matre’d Patterson Fleming, and he understands how to do the job. He says that he started as a waiter and became the best waiter on the island, I would have to say he was/is. He has selected waitresses that follow his example and make each person feel as not only wanted, but needed.

We have spent the last 3 days at the resort and I have to say all reviews are spot on. First the site, it is a large acreage with cottages doting it here and there. Each cottage consist of two rooms for single story and four rooms for two story. They are all air conditioned and very nice. There is no TV or alarm clocks in any of the rooms. The bed is comfortable and there are enough pillows to let you sleep well no matter what your needs are.
The whole setup is to get you to relax. Though they have given in to the internet age by supplying wireless to all rooms, this is a minor concession that goes a long way. The staff, in just a day, knew are names and preferences. This makes the day go seemlessly. Finally there is the roar of the surf in the background, I can’t get over it and now if it were to go silent I will find it missing.
Currently, my day is get up in the morning, get breakfast, make my way back to the room, put shorts on, go to the pool/beach and lay down in the sun or under an awning. Around noonish, we stop for by for lunch go back to the beach and in the late afternoon make our way to dress for dinner. I will speak more of the restaurant in a later post, but let me say I have never had such wondrous food.
Overall impression and rating of the hotel? 4 out of 5
Why the loss of a point? Our hot water did not work, I called three times and twice was told it was fixed. The third time it was.

Yesterday was a long day, starting at 3:00 am est, we traveled to Nevis. Our flight from Boston to Atlanta was scheduled to leave at 5:40 am and with all the security and such we had to there at 4:30 am. Long day. After a couple of delays we arrived in Atalanta only to find our terminal had to change. A short run to the train and then from the train to the gate we made it. Only to wait for another 20 minutes for two other flights to arrive and passengers come in. Once in the air, we made terrific time and arrived about 10 minutes late, not bad for leaving almost 40 minutes late.
Arrival in St. Kitts and clearing Customs/Immagration was relaxing. Our Ferry to Nevis went well, though crowded might actually do the Water Taxi to go back. The Taxis to Nisbet was delightful.
